i think thats very valid critique, the movie really wasnt made for ppl who dont know the play haha 
i can at least say that at times the costume design looked nice, especially glinda's pink gown, but like that's it. but also i have this subconscious bias against any magical schools that aren't hogwarts LMAOOO 
lmao i enjoyed the musical aspect but yeah i agree the best thing otherwise where the costumes ... i really liked all the outfits they had in general

very valid, i think maybe the musical aspect of it is where most of the hype came from cus they're undeniably very talented singers
