I'm sorry you got dogpiled! I'm poc as well and some random user also tried to assume I'm white to start drama once.

im pretty (very) active on es (im GrimFandango there), ive managed to survive there and its majorly why i accidentally just stopped playing vp. I like designing and dressing up there, and ive made a few friends and have managed to have plenty of fun. im not very controvertial, thank god, so ive only ever gotten dogpilled cause years ago i mentioned my sister had an account made in beta when she was like 9 (got called a horrible sister. that was fun) BUT apart from that, and when I got my email doxxed, and when I got sent anonymous death threats multiple times, and when I got banned because I joked that I was an AI made by everskies, and then unbanned because i begged to be let back in, it's been pretty fun for me. (plus the money is a major upside). I've managed to grow a following there and it's pretty cool, being able to make posts and a handful of users are almost guaranteed to respond and interact. also i have a collection of clown (Creator, not the circus ones) items/sets that im dedicated to, so that keeps me busy.

Though with all of that being said, I returned to VP cause god I've missed it. I'm sad it's way less active than it was in like 2021 and 2022 when I last played, but it's still fun and I missed the items and familiar faces here. I guess technically I've been active on both sites for almost the same amount of time but VP is the one I have "nostalgia" for, so while es is the modern one I think I'll always be coming back to vp in the end. im happy being active on both. also ive taken this return to vp as an oppertunity to collect some rares ive always wanted from vp so thats very fun for me

I think it's shrunk so much just because of time. So many popular and active users who were toxic behind the scenes to others were banned, and then as time moved on people naturally get bored of one aspect of the game or another and just leave. I've seen so many quitting posts lately and they're all for different reasons (mental health, school, life, etc). A game that blew up like everskies did was bound to have the heat cool off, and I think the playerbase has majorly calmed down with it.
