because frequently it feels as though any oppinion that is different or doesnt align with the "popular" vote is treated with the response of " you're wrong and you should feel bad"

then get a very backhanded specific instance that proves the "popular" point

even now it feels as if my opinion won't matter because it doesn't align with the point you're trying to make. when you're the one living the effects of these life altering events, shit starts to hit a lot harder the more it affects you

but i digress
I can understand
unfortunately if this is allowed to say I feel like misslondon's case is.. different
bcus she doesn't ever express any big opinion ahha, which is ok!

but when she does comment on every thread in a very vague way, nd don't explain it, which makes a lot of ppl read her wrong,

there's the, writing an opinion nd ppl goin at u
nd writing, a VAGUE as hell take nd ppl concluding their own opinions

nd when for years you come being annoyed by the userbase, but continue to post vague posts, never explaining what ur takes mean nd makes it look purposefully questionable, and then go around seeming annoyed at the userbase

misslondon is simply.. a different case
Why would I share to such a open minded crowd lol
Opinions can only be black or white. Any variations (even if you agree) are not tolerated

What normal person expects someone to discuss anything if the conversation begins with insults or ridicule?

Maybe I am a different case and unfortunately if I'm allowed to say it sometimes feels as if people sometimes self project so I ignore the little sly comments...and heaven forbid if I ever do say something in response because people will hold onto things
for years..such as "seeming annoyed at the user base for years" misconception

I have work tomorrow, gn
well idk, I didnt make this as a discussion thread to begin with, but when someone comes in saying they dont wanna talk bcus of their opinion, Ill calm tf down nd listen if they wanna talk. Bcus me, this is MY thread, idk abt the others but I'll sit down nd listen if you wanna say smthing fr.

I've had ppl respond to me on DMs for this thread, bcus they don't wanna put it out on a public thread but still wanna respond. And I don't hold anything against them, I think it's been good. If anything, I've gotten a more positive view of them

Maybe you should stop ignoring the sly comments you don't like
maybe you should go at it if you think you are right

and yes we will hold onto things, unless ppl explain themselves. That is not a weird thing to do MissLondon. I'm literally still angry at this politician saying she was against gay marriage 10 years ago. mby she changed her mind? idk? she never talked abt it again so ye, Im holding her to it until she makes me think otherwise.

Thanks, that's kind of you to say

To a extent i can understand holding on to things irl, not vp

Again. I'm not judging anyone for how they feel regarding Kirk

Sometimes hate is very black and white for me. I can't say I hate the man, but I have empathy for his children. It's a lie. Yeah, the kids lost a parent blah blah blah but nobody knows what he was really like at home lol
He was vile and I don't feel empathetic that he can't raise kids in hate

So we do actually agree

I dont feel ampathy for this man
But yes I feel extremely sorry for his family, his KIDS being there, and witnessing this. I feel extremely bad and sorry for them, and the people at the university, but cannot say I feel bad for Kirk himself

And I think, most of vp agree w u on this. Having read through both my threads, they r not advocating for people going out there and shooting people w different opinions. But when a man, who is against evrything most of vp are, gay and trans, who said black lives matter was a terrorist group, who said we'd just have to accept gun deaths, and would make his own 10 year old carry out a rape pregnancy, dies, I think people have very strong reactions. Especially in the first oncoming days. Hearing they're supposed to shut up bcus "a father has died" as if his vile opinions has done nothing to society. It's gonna make them react. And vp is an extremely small community, where it feels safe for ppl to say these feelings out loud, get it off their chest

I truly do not think anyone on vp advocates for gun violence and killing of politicians like this. But I will not shame them for feeling a sense of relief, seeing someone actively advocating for hate towards them, dying

So yes, I do totally understand you, and dont think you are wrong at all

And for this sentence alone
It is bcus, sadly, this is my life
We come on here every day, I do not treat this as some joke site, and will hold people accountable for what they say. As I do for any other site

I do not see why we should not hold people accountable for said things just bcus it's on vp.com. Nd I dont think you should either. There r real ppl behind these accounts

Yes, it's real people and if there's issue with something, speak your peace
but vp too often doesnt give the same grace they expect from others

What is the vp definition of holding someone accountable?
If it means vilifying someone and whatever else bs people choose to be on, I'll pass

The ”celebration of a man’s death” is not actually about celebrating political violence it’s about celebrating the end of an incredibly harmful voice in politics that for years has contributed to and incited violence. I don’t feel sadness for a man I didn’t know dying, people die every day, nor do I feel joy about his death, I am happy he can no longer cause more harm. I am not happy the state of the world has come to be this way, but it is because of people like him America looks the way it does today. Had the things he advocated for not been in place he would have been alive now. And the people on her doing moral grandstanding about this without actually taking 2 seconds to actually think it through or consider why our reactions are the way they are, are likely in a position of privilege where they do not ever have to think about politics.
This is well said
