I personally don't, but gsm has had many incidents of trolls doing stuff like that in 1.0 and 2.0. so it's a bigger issue there and to pretend like it's in general not a real thing that happens or worth being concerned about is weird (which is what was being alluded to in the topic i'm mentioning)

I don’t remember what I said back then I was prolly a bit snarky about gsmrs knowing myself, but regardless of the topic a lot of the stuff going on gsm was rly performative, just like on ES… like idk about others but my issues with these sites are never really the level of wokeness cos im the most annoying woke cringe person ever, usually more abt how it’s approached n junk

lacking nuance and specifics is fine, I think, but downplaying something because you aren't directly affected by it, it looks trivial to you and then wrapping it up with "haha gsm people are so sensitive" is weird lmao

the pro of VP being small is much more considerate interaction and the bots not being trolls

everyone here is snarky about gsm people lmao, but the funny thing is we are a hair away from being just like them at all times, there's just less chances for anyone to show it.

the only thing that saves IS it being a small community here and people generally are willing to learn, i think?

lol! i don't really have too much to say besides we have to really pay attention to what we're saying sometimes and not think we're one of the better ones just because we're not "them"

like idk if the original intent of the topic i had seen was more haha i hate gsm or haha people are so sensitive and then proceeding to use something that is actually something 1. people have to deal with and 2. is actually harmful and something to push against, as some form of proof for that. especially when there is actually a lot to drag gsm people for lol.

it just made me uncomfortable to see as a black woman, on a dress up site where there might only be like 1-3 max users who are also black, because it just kind of reeks of "okay, this thing that people do and often use to troll poc is not worth worrying about because it's never hurt MY feelings, ugh there's real things going on in the world" it's like if i was someone new and i saw that i would have logged right tf out lmao.

but there is an air of we're better than gsm people here and while that could be true in we don't have as much consistent negativity going on...we aren't better just because we don't have people complaining about *checks notes* their personhood, how they are getting treated, and other things that may only affect a smaller group of marginalized people, ya know?
