@VP about Inktober
InktoberVP

Hello again, VP!
We at Inktober would love to hear some feedback about our Inktober event this year!
Please fill out this google form and let us know your thoughts!

Or, of course, feel free to discuss here.
You are free to discuss or fill out the form even if you didn't enter!

Here are the main questions if you can't access the form or simply want to discuss here!

Did you enter into InktoberVP's 2025 inktober event?

If you entered, why did you enter the inktober challenge?

What kind of entries did you make this year?

If you did not enter or hesitated to enter, why?

What did you like about how the event was run or explained?

What did you NOT like about how the event was run or explained?

Do you have any suggestions for future Inktober or similar events?

Thanks again to everyone who participated and made the event possible!

For some of the themes I felt too intimidated because they felt quite difficult to put into an image or look

some of them were supposed to be weird or different but we weren't grading super strict. And we'd contact you if we weren't sure... And you could always ask for clarification in the thread!

Did you know all of that and still were intimidated? Is there a way we could have clarified better that it was more creative/interpretation versus super strict demands?

Do you want to share which ones in particular were hard and why?

I didn't know that! That does make it a bit better. But I was also still very new on this server, so reaching out also felt a little intimidating to me. That is more on me and my personality than on the team though! Thanks for listening to the feedback ଘ꒰⑅ ´ ˘ ` ⑅ ꒱♡

i liked the idea behind it and that you can even enter with a look (for the less creatively inclined people) but like all inktober challenges, in the end its too much work for me lol

i would have mabe been more inclined to enter if it was like ... one promt for 3 days or something
30 promts is just too much for ppl (hence so many ppl that never finish their promt lists on time for inktober challenges in general)

yeah like u always start all excited n then by promt 10 u fizzle out sadly
mad respect to anyone who actually did finish an inktober challenge and id it on time even

i always see a lot of people continue way after october to slowly work thru their lists if they really enjoyed the promts and still want to do it

It was my first, and it was fun, but 30 prompts are a lot. Sadly, I didn't have enough time to do the ones I really liked. I will definitely join next year as well

multiple people had said there were too many prompts. In past years, it was milestone prize (get a set for 5 days, 10 days, 15 days, and 30 days for doing 5, 10, 15, 30 prompts you pick from 30 total), whereas this year was pick and do as many or as few as you want.

Did you guys find that put more pressure on you or less pressure?

Would this have been easier/less pressure if the prompts/prizes were revealed all at once at the beginning versus day by day?

Are you guys (no accusation) saying we should give multiple prizes for one prompt and only have a few prompts? i.e. more prizes and less work? or are you just personally saying y'all didn't have time/motivation to do them all but having 30 prompts is ok?

the point of the inktober challenge is to do little drawings everyday originally to have fun and NOT burn out. Do you think this just doesn't fit the VP populace or is there something we as a team could have done differently to make the many prompts seem more approachable?

I do really like that you could chose based on the items you like

I think 3-5 prompts a week for weekly prizes would be a more manageable middle ground?

(released monday to thursday maybe??) To earn all of the prizes for that week in one set??? Would that be possible??

Announcing one every day but letting you opt out of the most difficult ones to still be able to earn all of them

I think that also works with what lamby said

I do agree some of the prompts were a little strange, but at the same time it made me think outside the box! And in the end I still ended up with little drawings I enjoyed.

Also I loved the scratch card reveal on the InkTober page, I forgot to put that in the form. I thought it was very fun and a cute way to reveal a prompt.
