Devon was busy watching football games on his TV when he heard a knock on his door. He raised an eyebrow, knowing that it was unusual for anyone to show up at his place. Ever since his wife, Indie moved to a new city to start a new life, he wasn't the same person. He spent a lot more time by himself and even though he was able to start a relatively successful construction company, things would never be the same. He sat up from the couch, beer in hand as he walked to the front door and opened it. His jaw nearly dropped as he saw Indie standing in front of him. He had no idea what to say or do, and it appeared that she was feeling the same was as her eyes were awkwardly focused on the ground. "...Ind?" he called her by the old nickname he had for her, his southern accent thick as ever. He looked her up and down. She wasn't the same girl anymore, either, or at least it looked like it. She was dressed in expensive looking clothing, her hair perfectly curled and makeup looking as if she was ready for a photo shoot. In contrast, he was wearing a football jersey, his favorite pair of faded blue jeans and a pair of work boots. "...What are you doing here?" he finally asked her, patiently waiting for her to look up at him and answer.
Clementine was confused beyond words. Here was this attractive guy, arms wrapped around her, calling her names like princess and talking about how much he missed her, and all she do was wonder who in the hell he was. She watched as a huge team of doctors ran into the room. After a few minutes, they worked to remove all the tubes and machines that she was hooked up to. She was still required to remain in the hospital overnight for observation. Well, that was until she spoke up. "What... is going on? Who are all these people?" she asked the doctors, pointing over to Mat and her family. Clementine's memory was gone. The looks on the doctors faces dropped, and Clementine knew that something was terribly wrong. She watched as the people in the corner of the room cried, and once again the guy who was hugging her earlier walked up to her. She pulled herself from him as he attempted to touch her. "...I don't know you" she said, feeling tears fall down her face. She knew she was supposed to know and love these people, but how could she possibly do that when they were practically strangers to her?
