After his comment, I gave Jeremiah a slight nod, without telling him to be careful back. He knew very well he had to be, and he usually was. If he weren't, he'd be dead by now. I turned my attention back to the many doors in front of me, deciding it would be best to just start at the end. So I then walked to the end of the hallway, before peeking inside, through the open door. After reaching my hand in, letting it brush against the other side of the wall, I finally found the switch. However, no light turned on, and it seemed I had to use my flashlight instead. Pulling it out of my backpack, I turned it on, careful not to do so before I entered the dark room. Batteries wouldn't last forever, and getting new ones could sometimes turn out to become one hell of a task. That was not a problem I intended to face yet. After a quick sweep of the room, I quickly turned of my flashlight, sparing the batteries as much as I could. I then proceeded to the next door.
