Obviously children need to ask premission from their parents. 1 to have an account here and 2 to enter contest involving personal information. Why don''t you just ask Kim to make that more clear. No need to remove prices.

I agree with you on this but at the same time Kim and Kaj only see this as extreme kindness which it is. I mean not everyone can afford a phone let alone a decent on y'know?? I mean if someone wants it that badly, they'll work their ass off and they'll win it. But yes as for the lower prizes I think think they should increase a bit as just to get into the top 20 for a competition like this you would have worked your ass off tbh

do you really think every kid on here is going to ask permission to make an account? from personal experiences, most kids just make the account and then worry about the concequences of the parent finding the account later

and like i said before, it still would actually cost the winner money, considering the phone activation/upgrade fees. someone mentioned that in the previous contest, there was a different physical prize, which would be fine (though i'd prefer non-physical alternatives that i suggested, like a gift card)

i'd appreciate it, thank you :d i'm going to be out for the next 5 days though (already put in my vacation mode request), so that might cause issues with communication

i understand kim/kaj are trying to be generous, and the prize is really expensive. the only issue is that it's a phone, which really should be something the parents decide to get in the case of children (and as i've said before, there's activation fees and upgrade fees which would just cost the parents/the winners money)

it's incredibly selfless of them, and i truly appreciate the thought, but it seems like something that would just cause more troubles for them in the long run

Lol, there's nothing on vp that someone doesn't complain about.

Yet when the prizes were a tv and laptop, nobody expressed safety concerns regarding giving out their address.
Hahaha, I'm sorry but hahaha

When the winners phone have arrived parents probably know it and can decide to let the child have it or not ((:

If you win the phone you don't have to use it. There are no costs if you don't want them. Just because you or 50 other people can't use this prize or don't need this price doenst mean VP have to change it. An what fees? Updates are free, the phone is simlock free. You just need money to call someone (wich you already needed) and maybe a new simcard (wich is free). And lets be honest, nobody younger than 12 will win this contest. All 12 year old here have phones so I ussume most people in other countries do too

About the premission thing. Well thats just opinion on wich we don't agree. I think parents should do the best to raise their children. I know children don't always listen but thats ok. Kids should make mistakes bc they learn from them. So what if a child can recieve a free phone and don't get to use it. It's a teaching moment. It would be the same with gift cards only the child would be more likely to get away woth it bc they will most likely recieve the gift cart cardcode via email. changing to a gift card is actually even worse if you yhink about it.

dude they need to money for the new app they're making
and also, the difference make people want to get higher on the list which gives more competition
