As school gets closer, my favourite type of shopping spree is not so far away - stationary!
For me, buying new pens, pencils, notebooks and highlighters is a true joy. That blank notebook is just waiting to be filled.
But hang on - what do you buy?
As much as I love shopping for stationary and supplies, there are always some things I forget about until it's too late. So here's a list to help both you and I out this term!
1) Writing tools
You're going to need a couple of pens, whether they're fountain, felt tip, biro, or if you're attending Hogwarts this year, a trusty quill and ink pot.
2) Something to write or draw on
You'll need notepads for each of your subjects.
TIP: Get a different colour for every subject. This will help you to avoid bringing the wrong books to class!
3) Mathematics set
This one's for our mathematicians, artists, designers or maybe even geographers. You'll never know when you need to plot out some points, or draw a perfect square.
This should include a ruler, a set square, mathematic triangles, a pair of compasses and a protractor.
4) Crafts
You may need:
- gluestick
- scissors
- artist's pencils
- eraser
- fineliners
- tape
- colouring pencils
Never underestimate the power of using different colours within your notes - it can really help you to remember what you've written and also prevent boredom when reading back through.
5) Determination to learn!
You may have thought you were getting off easy with this list - you were wrong!
You need to be prepped and ready to take in new information. Make sure you've sorted out all of your supplies, got a place to keep your timetable, and most of all, be excited. You never know what might happen this term!
As you all know, we hosted a themed dress-up this Monday, looking out for the best school outfits!
The range of entries was fantastic, and we've chosen our three winners with great thought.
3rd is FergieTheGod!
We loved her punky school look and take it as tribute to all of the rebels out there.
500pd has been awarded for 3rd.

2nd is Zoetta!
Her fabulous look reminds of Regina George from Mean Girls - got to stay stylish!

And last but not least, Cami844f takes 1st place with a darling school uniform, reminiscent of an upper-class boarding school.
