Hey guys, I'm Jasmine and I'm taking Georgia's place on the News Team because she resigned.
I almost always have a messy bedroom, and I'm pretty sure most teenagers do as well, so here are ten handy tips to keep the mess under control.
1. Every morning you should make your bed before you do anything else. Just straighten the blankets and pillows every morning, it makes a huge difference in the room and it's a lot easier to get into bed at night with your covers ready.
2. Pick a corner of your room to tidy first, then, once you put everything away, move to another corner, and keep going until all four corners are empty of clutter, it will make tidying up a lot easier because all you have to worry about is the middle of the floor and desks, shelves etc.
3. Pick up all the clothes on the floor, if they are dirty then put them in the laundry basket.
4. Take a look at some of the things around your room, if you don't use some of them or don't like them anymore them maybe you could give them to a sibling, friend, charity shop or you could even put it up for sale online if you think it's worth a bit of money.
5. Read through papers that are cluttering your room, if you need or want to keep them then put them in a box or filing cabinet, and if you don't need or want them then throw them away, paper makes a room look incredibly messy.
6. Put all your books on bookshelves, make sure the spines of the books are visible (the bit in the middle of the cover and back that says the name of the book) otherwise you won't know what the book is when you go to read it.
7. Wash any dirty dishes that you left in your room and put them away.
8. Put pens into a pen pot, notepads on a shelf or in a cupboard and and other stationary wherever you think would be best for it.
9. Never stuff random things behind things like bookshelves or desks, if you find yourself doing this then take a little break, go and make a coffee or something, treat yourself, just not too much.
10. When your floor is cleared, hoover up and dust if you need to.
