Want to keep fit? Or maybe just tone up? Here's an idea to get you started!
I only use this method of exercise because it suits my schedule as it's rather quick and helps me tone up my stomach and legs (which is what I want.)
First off, make sure you are wearing "loose" clothing. Nothing too restricting like jeans. Then get a pint of water. It is important to drink plenty when you are resting.
Start off by stretching those muscles. I just do all of the stretches I know to make sure I'm ready to do exercise.
Use your phone or computer to get a stop watch at 1 minute.
Run on the spot for 1 minute.
Star jumps for 1 minute.
Plank for 1 minute:
Rest for 1 minute.
Sit ups for 1 minute.
Rest for 1 minute.
Lunges (switching legs) for 1 minute.
Rest for 1 minute.
Squat for 1 minute.
Rest for 1 minute.
Press ups for 1 minute. (If you can't do real press ups do the "lady ones". If you do them correctly you should feel the burn.)
Rest for 1 minute.
Leg pilates for 2 minutes. (1 minute for each leg)
Rest for 1 minute.
Star jumps for 1 minute.
Run on the spot for 1 minute.
And then stretch again to cool down.
This is something that I used to do at college for my dancing module. It's an easy circuit training and doesn't take long but gives you a sweat.
If you already exercise and are happy with your regime comment below what you do!
To go with my fitness theme today I thought I would give you a quick smoothie recipe.
A handful of blueberries, a handful of cut up strawberries, a cup of yogurt and a cup of milk. Blend and voila!
It is delish-us!
