Today I thought I would share some of the things I have been loving lately, from books, to film, to food, music and TV. I'm going to share with you what I've been loving and hope that you guys find something new to enjoy. Be sure to let me know what you've been loving lately in the comments!
Now I never thought I would enjoy a show like RuPaul's Drag Race, but I surprised myself and I love it. I had heard so many people on here talking about it and it made me wonder what all the fuss was about. I watched it and I am so, so glad that I did. It's like America's Next Top Model but one hundred times better. It's brilliant. And it's also like there's a bit of Project runway mixed in there too.
If you haven't seen it, then you really should because it is brilliant.
One thing that makes this better than any of the model programs like America's Next Top Model or Britain's next top is the sassiness. I have never seen so many sassy people. I love it, the sassiness and bitchiness of it all is so entertaining.
Who are your favourite Queens? Would you be interested in an article about my favourites?
I'm not sure if any of you have seen the film Letters To Juliet, but if you haven't then I highly recommend it. It is and always will be one of my favourite films ever.
If you haven't seen it, then here's a brief overview. Sophie and her fiancé go on a pre-honeymoon to Italy. While her fiancé is off doing some work for his restaurant Sophie goes to Juliet's house. She sees a woman collecting the different letters that women leave for Juliet. When the woman walks off with the letters Sophie follows her out of curiosity to see what they are doing. It turns out that these women are Juliet's sectaries and send replies back to the letters that had been left. The film follows the journey of a letter Sophie replies to that is almost fifty years old.
It is a brilliant film that always makes my heart feel warm and happy.
While on the topic of film, is anyone else excited for Me Before You to come out? I know I am :)
Last week I finally read Me Before You. It was brilliant. Heartbreaking, but still incredibly brilliant. I had been meaning to read this for a while now due to my mum saying how brilliant it was and finally I got round to doing so. If you haven't read this book then please do, it's heartbreaking but a brilliant story of love, life, and death.
The story focuses on the life of Louisa Clark and quadriplegic Will Traynor. That's all I'm going to say because I don't want to ruin it for people but please do give this a read if you get the chance.
If you have read it what do you think? Did you enjoy it?
What books have you been enjoying lately?
Dorothy has been a band that I have been loving listening to lately. The lead singer's voice is incredible and the music is brilliant. If you haven't heard of them, then you are really, really missing out.
Their debut album is expected to be out later this month and I can not wait. I love their music but I cannot wait for some new stuff.
Here are some songs for you to listen to introduce you to the brilliant voice of Dorothy Martin.
What music have you been loving lately?
Some of you may or may not have heard of Tesco. If you haven't then it is a big supermarket in the UK. It is the supermarket we always shop at so I'm always trying new things from there.
One thing that I've been eating a lot from there lately is their Oats and Belgian Chocolate Cookies. They may just be the best cookies I have ever tasted in my life. They're an oat cookie that's full of hazelnuts, coconut and lots, and lots of chocolate. There is so much chocolate and it is utterly perfect.
If you're ever near a Tesco then please go and grab some.
Something else I've been loving is a restaurant, not a food but I thought I would mention it anyway. Frankie And Benny's. The food there is amazing and if you love pasta and pizza then I would highly recommend going. I went yesterday and I already want to go back. What are your favourite foods and restaurants?
