Favourite Moomin Mugs part 3 |
It is almost a full year since the previous blog about Moomin mugs, so why not revisit the concept to spread some joy in these troubling times? New mugs have been released since spring 2019, and one of them will be included in this post. I do love (pretty much) all of the new mugs, but there is one recent one which appeals to me on a deeper level, possibly because the colour was honestly very unexpected. I have previously attempted to avoid to bring up mugs that are for sale as I am not making these blogs as an ad for the mugs, but as the mug might potentially be for sale for a decade or so - I will write about it now instead of awaiting it to go out of production. There are also a few mugs which went out of production in the end of 2019, and one of them will appear in this blog as well - finally I can talk about it! Starting with this lovely, purple mug, Muddler.I find the character to look rather adorable where he is sitting with a red colander kind of thing on his head. You might now know this, but this creature is in fact the father of the arguably more known character Sniff! I honestly think the mug has some kind of chaotic conspiracy theorist vibes but that's pretty much because of the colander. The colour combination of the mug is refreshing, one of the things I appreciate the most with Moomin mugs as a whole is the colours, I'm completely over that trend with grey, white, and black - it's boring to me. The last mug I present to you guys in this blog, is the Misabel mug. I have seen it being called Misabel yellow, however, I will simply call it the Misabel mug as this is the first time this character appears on a mug. I honestly love the yellow on it. I like how the mug seemingly mixes details which are coloured, and details which share colour with the mug itself, like the window. I love the basin (in lack of better terms) and the colour of it, that is - the thing she does the dishes in. I absolutely adore the look she has, it speaks to me, I relate a lot. A good mug. The notes/disclaimers from the first Moomin mug applies to this too. I will continue to thank @Delewie for the banner of these blogs, it is deeply appreciated. |
