Moving On In Life |
One thing that I have learned in this life is the importance of moving on and letting go. At some point in time, everyone has to go through some loss whether it is a family member, a friend, or a pet. And this loss doesn't just mean death, it can also mean someone just leaving. I have experienced this a lot throughout my life. I would like to share some tips I have learned when learning to move on. 1. Everyone's reactions to a loss are different. Some show it on the outside. Some hide it and show it in other ways. Others keep it in completely. People go through so many different experiences throughout their lives, so they cope and move on differently. I have learned to not get upset at people just because they look like they might not feel anything. 2. Take your time. It can be hard to move on and let go of something completely. And it does take time. Let yourself let go in ways that you can express yourself. I love doing this through writing down in a journal, and through (imperfect but emotionally satisfying) art. 3. Talk to people. It is always good to confide in someone who can listen to you. Being the social species that we are, socializing helps us in many ways. Either that or I do highly recommend writing. 4. Keep doing what makes you happy. Keep your hobbies. Don't get caught in the trap of doing nothing. Don't get caught up in the idea that you can only sit around and feel your feelings. You do what makes you happy to move on. Get up, and get out. Take care of yourself physically so you can take care of yourself mentally! <3 I am no doctor, so these aren't foolproof ideas. These are just some ways that I have learned when coping and moving on. I hope you have a wonderful day. <3 |
