| Basic VP Pricing Guide! |
| Here is a quick overview of pricing your items in VP! There are multiple things that go into item pricings: Amount In-Game Designer Size/Category of item Age of the Item Quick note, this is my opinion, you do not have to agree. This is just a baseline to help! C: 1cr = 1000pd Item Amounts in-game to CR prices: 100+: 1-10 90-100: 10-20 80: ~20-30 70: ~30-40 50-60: ~40-60 30-40: ~40-80 20: ~50-100 1-10: 90-500+ Most people have found this fair, and I've sold a lot in MP this way. I will also put some things in for the equivalent of pd to see if it sells better, because I know some people have way more pd than cr. When Item Prices Change Item prices may change to less or more when: - It is a small item - It is an item that should be sold in a bundle (skin + feet, arms etc) - It is a popular designer - There is very few in game* - It is a new set/item** *With older items, there may be "less in game" than VP says. Many people in VP no longer play, so sometimes although an item says 20ig, there are really only 5 available in active peoples wardrobe. :C **BEWARE sometimes people take advantage of each other when selling new items. It sucks, but it is an easy way for a seller to get more cr. I'm sure we've all done it. :C Determining Set Prices To determine a range for set pricing, I pretend I am going to buy each part of the set separately. I my opinion, buying each item separately VS. as a set SHOULD NOT have a crazy amount difference!! I use my basic pricing per item, and add it up together. Obviously not everything in a 30 ig set is going for 65 cr each. So here are some exceptions when I price within a set: Small items: - Smaller items typically go for less. - I price them around 10-20 cr less than my basic average. Backgrounds (for items): - They are a part of the item. - I don't give them a price, it is site-known you sell the bg with the item. - 0 cr NEEDED parts of a skin: - for basic skin, arms and legs (typically in bg or skin category). This goes with the background rule - I don't give them a price - 0 cr EXTRA parts of a skin: - extra set of arms, feet, face parts, makeup, jewelry etc - parts that OBVIOUSLY go with the skin, but are not a specific part of the skin - I typically price them 5-10 cr NOTE FOR ME: Put an image example here OTHER NOTES - Don't just follow my notes. You can have your own notes too! If you feel something should be priced higher or lower, do it! - Sometimes you just need the opinion of someone else! If you aren't sure about a price, ask someone what they think of it! - DON'T BE AFRAID TO HAGGLE A PRICE DOWN. If people get upset at you for that... that's just stupid. T-T - Pricing for greed and more cr gain only adds to making the economy on here worse. :C - Pricing was different when VP was more active. There are items people paid 10k cr for then, but people now would only pay max 2k cr when pushing it. People had a ton of cr then, and used it instead of sitting on it. I will probably update this in the future! Updated 03-06-2026 |
