According to Emily Dickinson "There is no frigate like a book," well she is right... but let me welcome you to the year 2016, where not only the book is a frigate but also the laptop's keyboard or a phone's keypad. It's absolutely true! Unless you live under a rock or in a cave. Ever since we entered the 21st century, not only did our lives somehow become progressive, but it seems that through these things, we are now connected to each and every person on our planet. What things? They're books, computers. the internet. cell phones. and a whole lot of things.Let me state this: through books, we can nourish our imagination and learn so many things (may it be literature or a fiction book). Maybe you are addicted to Harry Potter or Percy Jackson, well, you can join a fan club with members all over the world! if you don't want to spend some bucks buying books, well, hello?! You have internet connection, you can download all the four books of the "Twilight Saga" with just a few clicks of your mouse. Just so you know, the Internet is not for fun and games or YouTube only, it's also for self-expression. For example, having a blog in tumblr or in any site can be considered, like, "Therapeutic." You can pour your feelings on your blog and make many poems, short stories or even essays; and if you receive a considerable number of "Fans" and "Likes," you can now give yourself a pat on the back before thanking or replying to your fans' or followers' messages about how they can relate to your masterpieces. Nokia, LG, Apple, Samsung, well it doesn't actually matter! It doesn't actually matter if you're H20, T-Mobile or Net10; the only thing that matters is how you can communicate with your Mom, who's in Spain visiting the family, or your Dad, who's working in London. It's truly amazing how with just a few strokes or presses on your keypad, you can tell your best friend that you're sorry about the fight the other day or simply say I love you to your parents, who are busy working. Let's not forget or belittle the old-fashioned way: The Snail Mail. It may take a bit long to receive your letter but hey, the wait's all worth it, especially if it's good news. Even though we now have Yahoo Mail or FaceBook, some people still go to the post office or drop their letters in the mailbox; they say that it's much better than e-mail, considering that someone might read your private message. So it's better safe than sorry. Brilliant, isn't it? If I haven't really explained how much people are now connected to each other even though they're halfway around the world, just see yourself! But right now, it's like the whole world's holding hands to fight for what's right, or agree on something or maybe just to know each other better... it's simply a chain reaction; with a few clicks, presses and strokes, our world can now face a better future, especially if we keep this bond and connectedness forever... if we just send it on...
