A few days ago, "No Sound Without Silence" by The Script was Released. An album I fell in love with. I love how the songs are sang, how the instruments sound, the lyrics, everything. In my opinion The Script always make great music and this album was one of those examples. Today I wanted to review one of the songs on the album. I chose for "Without Those Songs".
I chose for this song, because lately, the pop industry is not about music anymore. It's more about money than about feelings and I feel like The Script are trying to make statement with this song. There are celebrity's who change their style to be seen, because let's be honest; There are more pop fans, than (for example) Rock fans, now aren't there?
This song is showing us that without the feelings that are put in music, it wouldn't be the same. Music wouldn't be as beautiful. We all have that one song that we hear, that hits us really hard. A song that can make us cry or maybe even smile brightly. That's because you feel the song. Sometimes, even hearing in the way the singer sings, that her or she is feeling what he's singing, can make us emotional. Money isn't as important as the feelings the music can give us. To speak in Birdy lyrics; "Found something real, that's out of touch."
I'm not a big fan of the melody of the song, though. It's beautiful, but I feel like it misses something. Power. The lyrics make up for that, so even though I don't like the instrumentals, I still love the song!
