Ohh the sweater you linked a while back? Very cool
My cardigan is. Going. I have the back panel, one of the front panels and a quarter of the other panel. It's been over a month oof. It's okay though, it'll probably take another month but then I'll have my first piece of clothing made! Unless you count the ha as clothing. Or the stuff I made but frogged. It's okay.

Can't wait to see it. Man, I'm so excited about this craft, I haven't been so into a hobby in a WHILE, I think this time it'll last for a long time. I have ideas of things I want to make once I'm done with my current project and I'm just super excited about this yarn that I have ahhhhhh
By the way I'm over half way done with the second front panel and it's been like, 3 days I am speed.
I can see this hobby becoming expensive as shit though, I have a huge wishlist of yarn and knitting books, as well as needles that are better than the ones I already have but I definitely don't need oof.

tried it twice
ended with me bending a crochet needle in a fit of rage
I have just too low of a tolerance for learning new skills I don't have any talent in (I'm really not good at stuff that requires fine motor skills)
so whenever someone is like "oh, it's so peaceful, it's so chill", I get residual anger at my bend needle

I mean, it can be once you know what you're doing, the learning curve is just steeper for some more than others.

I did really well when a friend taught me, but the second I had to do it on my own with a video, nothing was right anymore, like I couldn't even finish a single loop

Okay I want to share what I'm planning on knitting once I'm done with the cardigan.
First of all, I already have a hat cast on but that's not very interesting, it's just so I have something to knit on the bus or in the car or whatever.
What I'm most excited to knit is the no frills sweater from Petiteknit, it looks like this:

Now, what I'm planning on doing is using this yarn that I have in these colours:

(the last colour is a bit more green irl, it's really nice)
And I want to make all of the ribbing parts beige and have stripes for the rest, and maybe have it short sleeved? Maybe? Like this:

But it's raglan so I'm not sure how good it'll look, we'll see.
Maybe I'll follow a different pattern hmmm Petiteknit has some other good patterns that might look better with what I'm going for, like the Aros sweater

I might come back later to talk about the other thing I want to knit, we'll see.

Can't say that I do, soz😬
Do you mean the amount or the weight of the yarn? Because if it's the weight, that's a shame, but if it's the amount I'm sure you can find another thing to make out of it.

First off, I finished another hat (I'm procrastinating casting on the sleeves for the cardigan waaa), here is hat:

It's a lot more green in person but I can't be bothered taking a better photo so you'll have to deal with it.
Fun story though, I'm in a discord server for this knitting youtuber and someone in the server knit the youtuber a little project bag. She also made a pattern and since I just finished making the hat I figured it would be a nice quick project to knit up while I procrastinate knitting the sleeves, plus it would be useful. So I cast on the project (which at this point is half way done lol, this was yesterday, real quick knit) and tagged the girl who made the pattern in the server to tell her. She was really excited that I am knitting her pattern which is really adorable, we talked a bit about what I'm doing with the pattern and then like an hour later she dmd me asking if she could send me one knit by her some time next year ahhh how cute! I love knitters man, what a wholesome bunch.

It was the yarn i was getting from my mother! it's not the weight.. There got to be 100+ bundles of yarn in different colors!

What site is it? If they carry some, I recommend getting an interchangeable needle set, those are really handy.
