i kinda liked the ambiguity of some of the rules lol.

ambiguity creates too many opportunities for unfairness in moderation and treating different people differently instead of treating everyone the same

But it also stops you from having perfectly reasonable discussions about some things even tho they would be against the rules, strictly speaking (which they will do from now on brrr).

im no longer a walking advertisement of the site but come on. where the fuck is the harm in discussing it? barely anyone on vp likes the site. barely anyone that left vp for the site likes it. if you wanna ban all talk about the site on vp, fine, but make it make sense. go all the way and ban discussion of all avatar/forum sites, even gaia. otherwise it's painfully clear the rule exists for petty reasons.

which I know is shit but look how long it took to get these rules?? It’ll take them months whether or not to change them again I guess

Honestly, for me they are just MORE confusing, cus some of them make zero sense, and before I could at least remember what the mods rule by in my head just from experience, but now its like, idfk what they will do cus nothing is even clear in the rules anymore+ there r new rules. They ALREADY accept SO many exceptions to the rules, without even writing them down, like thats any more clear than the shit we had before lmao? Imo its pretty much just the same shit rewritten differently worded n then they called it a day after adding some rules that make no sense too. But now they don't have to change them again for like, forever, so now we are stuck with new (old) shit rules

These rules are written as a guideline
Why did I get a TO/Warning/Forum closure? These rules are meant to easily answer these questions. It's literally the same rules +5, no need to panic or not understand things.

If things end up not working out, changes can be made. These rules aren't carved in stone for forever and this thread can be used to add more context to the things that need it.
