The rules itself didn't change much - we just made them clearer. The new rules that were added concern obtaining HOF/Game sets, trolls, advertisement (discord) and the use of side accounts in competitions.

A: You should only be focusing on one main game/area as there is now a limited amount of sets available and no future development to add more. 
If it was an accident, I would message someone so it isn't being held against you. Although, if it becomes a problem and we notice a user doing it regularly it will obviously be classified as cheating.

A: We don't want any discord links as they have become such an issue. We've had many situations where something has happened in a discord and they bring it to vp by making threads or spreading screenshots. Therefore becoming our problem. If it's posting a discord username as a way to contact you, i'm presuming it will only be to your friends/people you trust in PM or startalk? I'm okay with that.

No, discussion of competitor websites, such as that one, is not allowed in any way "Websites that are a direct competitor for Virtual Popstar, in which they contain thread based discussion and dress-up of a model/doll/avatar will not be allowed in any circumstances"

Q: Theoretically
since my topics often run longer than 1 week
if someone were to bump my topic - not me - after that week, as it says in the rules, will be closed

i get it with age-old topics being bumped but 1 week is not a long time. I still use my topics from last summer 

A: If the thread holds relevance, I don't see an issue with it being bumped if the communication is still on going. I know you have a thread sharing recipes, since there is still relevance regarding the original topic of the thread, it should be fine to keep open. We'll review the threads before closing and if you disagree with a thread closure regarding this rule, you can always send a message.

A: If it holds relevance of you being excited/annoyed or whatever emotion you are feeling. The rule is specifically for what has been happening lately with users making threads with no content or posting to reach achievement. It's all about the context. We can tell the difference between spam and a user doing it for a specific reason.

Q: also w the one week thing sometimes I forget to update my design thread for a while but I still use it a lot ion want it locked

A: Similar response to what I wrote to Nesta.
As long as there is relevance to the thread, such as sharing your designs or obtaining feedback, the thread would remain open.
