idk if english isn't your first language but the word retard is highly offensive so people are responding to that. you shouldn't be calling anyone a retard. period. you also shouldn't be correlating mental illness with animal abuse. i'm also mentally ill and so are like 2/3 of the people on this website. you don't see us going around abusing animals. you need to be more careful with your words or make it clear that english is not your first language or something people are not gonna be ok with you talking this way. it's ableism.

I don't think you need to record any evidence, just explain what you've seen, the sooner you report her the better, the longer the wait the bigger the likelyhood the dog will be seriously injured.

no you are right and english is not my first language i just typed it quickly with translate and that often gives the wrong translation which i didn't mean. I didn't mean to offend anyone. i also edited and deleted it over the mental ill. I really meant something else.

and about reporting I find it difficult because she will immediately find out that it is me if I do this directly. And I also doubt whether this dog will end up in a good place if she has to leave her or whether she will end up in good hands, maybe she will miss her very much because my friend Is also quite a lonely person she told me she has no one but her dog at the moment I'm sure she won't be very well if she's away from her. But I do want the best for the dog so I want to try to talk to her one more time and see if I can clarify how a dog is and how they think because she thinks they got the same mindset like us

well idk where ur from but a shelter could be a horrible place for a dog and a risk for euthanization

only thing u can do is talk to her, maybe talk to her about possibly giving away the dog until she's in a better place mentally? just clarify that it's NOT OKAY and since you know her maybe try using examples that would put things in to perspective for her
