I second @Claire on speaking to HR. See if you could qualify for programs or protections for people with disabilities. Maybe look into a lawyer, but if you can't afford it I get it.  Also see if there are any hotlines for disabled employees you could call

Much luck to you with your diagnosis, my mom was diagnosed with schizoaffective last year (well either that or bipolar I depending on who she saw) and it's a rough ass illness. Wouldn't wish it on anyone. My mom was fucking batshit, quit working, couldn't pay her phone bill without help, and refused to walk out the hallway (she climbed out the window because she thought her capped tooth would set off emf and wifi signals that would kill her). She's in a group home now. 
Due to HIPAA, I don’t disclose anything 
unless I want to. If it’s necessary to turn in
anything to HR due to missing work 
I black out whatever the hospital/ER visit was for and it’s accepted 
because it’s not anyone’s business but
your own.
