Essentially, tiktok should be banned internationally due to the extremely close ties it has to the Chinese government, it's not about being against freedom of speech and expression, if anything it's the opposite. People are too poorly informed about the structures of the Chinese government and how it all works to understand the potential issues and how problematic it is to allow the Chinese government access to this amount of data etc etc etc etc

yes i agree with this

tiktok is essentially a threat against freedom of speech so i dont really see how banning it would be problematic

actually i might misspeak right now. does it only sensor things in china or does it do this in the west as well

but it seems to reduce peoples brain to mush anyway, so i dont trust it to exist

If people are so in desperate need of an app similar to tiktok, someone else can just rip it off China as they do with other people's intellectual property anyway. 
I've been exposed to information about China for more than a year now, and of course you can't take everything for god fisk but like, we just fundamentally not trust authoritarian governments that actively as we speak are committing crimes against humanity by having something resembling ethnic cleansing in West China.
