They were not used in the same way tho, if you look in McKay 11 edition it explains slavery from Europe to the Middle East. They were mainly servants or used as concubines, what sets black slavery apart from other kinds of slavery is the fact that they were used as workers in a brutal way! The type of slavery which was brought forward through the triangle trade is really extraordinary and can not be compared to other forms of slavery! 

Edit: And yes I know that most of the time it was the leaders of different tribes/countries in Africa who sold their own people for wealth and they weren't always "captured"

Umm. That’s what this entire thread is about... People were linking Wikipedia links for their arguments about white slavery and then argued about whether or not Wikipedia is reliable. And their links to the white slavery they were talking about had nothing to do with the argument in question about black slavery .. different time periods all together.

Okay, black people were definitely treated worse at times, but my argument specially is the time periods in which black people today would complain about slavery, is also the time period where white people who were poor were treated as slaves as well and some weren’t treated with respect either. That’s all I said.
