i don't have a strong opinion on this matter
besides prostitution sounding extremely unhealthy as a concept, on both physical and mental levels; shouldn't be the "ideal career" for anyone

then again i'm very against sleeping around with multiple ppl in general and think ppl should just stick to one partner, but that's just me personally
People don’t discuss enough the health benefits of monogamy

Oh yeah I don't remember who it was, but its been proposed here to ban hijabs (niqabs are already banned I think for all type of education) in kindergarten and children school (1-7th grade). And I think when girls are that young, I can stand behind banning it tbh. Not for older girls 8th grade + (15+) but when its actual children? Aj,, freedom to practice religion or whatever, but..
I find it very strange when children wear hijab, not gonna lie. I see it as a very adult decision, maybe because I associate head covering with tichel.
Idk if im correct, but I see putting a hijab on a CHILD, is just sexualizing a child. Idk if im even right abt the hijab being for covering (for what reasons? Sexual? Other stuff? Idk) but it seems very iffy
Making people cover-up is sexualizing them, period.
making a child cover-up is utterly and horribly wrong.
which is why bikini tops for little girls is horrible, which is why a hijab on a kid is disturbing.

yeah im always like... i was raised christian and there's NO WAY it's a choice for them. like if i told my mom rn im not a christian anymore she'd explode. if u really cant tell ur family u dont wanna be muslim anymore... or ull get kicked out of the house... is it really a choice? like cmon
I grew up orthodox and holy hell, it is NO WAY
a choice.
I was in the SAME situation, I was supposed to marry this one guy (later on my ex because parents divorced but still I like HAD to marry him and no one else) and now that I'm FAR away from them, I told my mother I'm not religious, and I got shamed for that lmao, haldf the family hates me for that but idc
religion IS A CULT and the amount of shame u get when u try to leave the church.... it's 100% a cult
Basically, I grew up in a Christian environment, then moved, and got to learn about Jewish and Muslim religion, and honestly? it's the SAME shit all around
And I'll NEVER, EVER, go back to being religious. never.

its so messed up bc countries want the gold stars for taking in immigrants but neglect to integrate them properly. then these immigrants grow up to be "bad examples" so inhabitants are like fuck no no more immigrants aaaaa
Yes we have this saying, swedish conditions (? Svenske tilstander) which usually refers to how in sweden its gone off the rails too much w foreigners criminality etc (idk im struggling to write this in english but). And how we in norway do not want that. But I think ppl r also just scared to seem racist or islamophobic if u start questioning the values of these ppl. Like with the couses in not being a misogynist n stuff. I would figure many ppl, esp on the internet, would think its islamophobic cus it kinda makes it seem like "everyone from an islamic country is a woman hater bad bad bad", but I think its just good to take precautions, even tho the majority of the men might not be like that, it still seems statistically worse than norwegian born people.
if there's no oppression that made it so the statistics look like that, yeah it's SUPER important to make precations, as religious people tend to bring more kids to the world, and statistically, their group would grow bigger, and even if a lot of the kids would've been born in Norway, still they would've grow up with values from their parents and in some cases, it cannot be helped, my family is a GREAT example,
my biological is an extremist, thinking women are there to be a children factory and a housewife, and I got to grow up in 2 countries, the second one is really more accepting of women and the idea of women having a say and power, and the moment I got an actual good education and realized that I can be and do anything I want... I was lucky and privileged enough to get out of that shit, and kids that come out of those households deserve to get the chance to be integrated properly into society, it won't ALWAYS work and sadly working with kids I've realized we can't help them all, but we can help a lot of them, and doing those steps are not rasict or bad.
Yeah, theres some bad apples of men here too, but just from ppl I have met, I have met a lot more refugees from islamic countries that seem worse, esp w women hate and homophobia, stuff like that. I remember my exs dad legit held his son up from the floor by the throat and threw him to the floor when he found out he was gay. Hes uh, kurdish? N a muslim. N its just ??? What on earth now

This conversation is interesting I don’t have much to add but it’s interesting. It’s along the same lines of school dress codes for girls.

and ppl who were raised atheists unfortunately dont understand which is why they can be callous when talking abt religious people. like "why do they care abt abortion" bc they actually genuinely believe ur going to hell u don.t understand that fear!!!

Yep, until this day I am sometimes thinking that maybe I've never had any luck with my partners and won't because that I didn't "save" myself for 1 person, although I KNOW it's not true but well... sometimes things are just too much integrated into your head, which is unfortunate but you just got to keep on living and talking about how it's not okay to raise the awareness of this issue

literally the bible passages that talk abt eternal damnation are terrifying if u actually believe that stuff ofcourse ur going to try ur damndest to try to "save" other people from that. and from the outside ur just seen as a loony

1. I can confirm I have no base understanding for religion I can't wrap my head around it but 2. It's kinda dumb cause they dont actually care about other people

I think mby if norway was very christian it would be more comparable, mens views on women, gay ppl etc etc, to islamic countries. Like some other countries in europe who r extremely christian. But seems like most ppl here r just atheist or they "believe in god" but thats it lmao (why fr but anyways). Could have gona lot worse in that regard, I feel like in western countries where most ppl r atheist or close to it, everything is better for women and minorities.
