i dont know anything about monogamy and its effect on humans but i do believe humans are supposed to live in small packs like they did in the hunter gatherers age and not necessarily always nuclear families, 2 ppl and a child u know. i think the community that comes w a small pack , and community raising of children is super beneficial but idk might be talking out of my ass cause i have no science to back it up

like the late 20's so just less than a hundred years.

and lemme tell ya, I have heard some NASTY old dirty biker stories from my exes dad about how in the 60s (before so many bacteria had evolved to be resistant to penicillin) folks would fuck each other folks in the STD clinic bathrooms cuz "we're both here for a penicillin shot anyways"

the nuclear family is both very profitable to capitalism and western religion.
I definitely don't think monogamy would exist as it does today without hundreds of years of social pressure making it the norm.
But perhaps the health aspects give it modern relevance

Not just w religion but, equal rights, no dress codes, shit is free, I would cry from all shit if I lived in america. It seems SO distant to me to ban abortions etc, except it happened in poland (?? Mby, mby another european country too??) But I rlly can't think of a country I would rather live in, even tho shits very much not perfect here either

when capitalism didn't permeate the east , ppl did indeed live as small communities w family and extended family and acquantances together in small houses, and the entire community would come together to raise a child. now they are also turned into nuclear families so yeah def capitalism influence
