I agree with the statement even tho I have wonderful parents and don't really have anything against the way they raised me and my sisters. But parenting is damn stupid and I never understood why people put themselves into that situation.

I don't think every teacher is bad at their job, i do think some are bad at handling the students they have thought. I have seen both ends of the spectrum. I have had a teacher so bad at handling the class that she got stress and quit. She would tell me to skip the things i didn't know, then never teach me them.
But on the other hand i have had teachers that have actively helped me. I suck at concetrating and i suck at asking for help if i struggle to understand things. I expressed my concerns and the teachers actively helped me to understand what i was sitting with.

I do think that too yes, I think certain subjects should be replaced or rewritten. We need more subjects, helping us into adultlife, rather than teaching us useless things we don't quite need.

i think you mean enlightenment? i don't think anyone nowadays actually goes through enlightenment because arguably speaking you would not be part of society if you truly were enlightened (aka ""ego death"" and if you experience it where would your will to function as a member of society be?).
many have said that they felt as if they no longer belong in it after going through some sort of spiritual awakening but i beg to differ, as i said, i don't believe anyone nowadays actually goes through that. it's a temporary state of mind and one eventually gets used to "normal life" again.

-This is what I meant. That is a theme my boyfriend loves to talk about because he did get some weird stuff happening with meditation and he think he would be able to reach ego death but is afraid of exactly that happening.

in my humble opinion i think that it's not something one should strive to achieve anymore in this day and age. i do understand it brings a sense of peace to one's mind but you can practice spirituality without completely killing off the ego because, as i said, you would not be able to function as a member of society anymore. so maybe he can stick to certain methods/rituals, but ego death is just.. not recommendable. ur basically inducing mental illness upon yourself lmao i'm sorry

Theres so handbook on parenting, and even if there was it would be innacurate. Because people who are parents are flawed as human beings, naturally their children will grow up with flaw of their own, either inheritantly bad beliefs, or a certain mindset of the world, etc. Everyone who has kids is gonna fuck up, its just on the parent to do what they can to minimalize the damage, which imo is pretty much impossible. Thats why theres trauma, because people fuck up in a big or small way, hurt their children, and are left with the consiquemces. But its pretty hard to avoid it (unless its abuse or the sorts, cause fuck yeah a parent can avoid that)

we all seam to think similar regarding this one

I am ok with parents making mistakes if when they are confronted about stuff that the child minds, they accepted their mistake and apologies I guess. But that doesn't really happen. If I ever have a child /which I highly doubt/ I would want to have a really open communication.

i mean, when u spend 6+ years to make super low wages, with students that actively disrespect u and a school board that refuses to take the responsibility for murder threats and attempts, with a government that never listens to you, being an acceptable sacrifice in the corona battle - and living w that for severaal years its not weird that they seem to have given up

they havent given up because of the students, theyve given up because of the schooling system
