doug was working as a barista in his hometown and i started going to college there and i would go thru and get a lattee every single day and he was always really nice to me and we would sit and chat for like fifteen minutes at the drive thru about all kind of stuff and he drew a heart in my lattee and he also drew a penis in my lattee and i kept TALKING about him to my friends so then after the third friend of mine said 'claire you need to shut up about The Cute Coffee Shop Guy if you're not gonna do anything'  cause this shit had gone on for MONTHS so i was like ok i will grow some balls and do this and i went thru the drivethru one morning FULLY intending to make that the day i ask him out and he WASNT THERE but i felt so brave that day i went thru again in the afternoon like maybe hell be on the afternoon shift i can do this so i ended up real hopped up on fucking caffeine that day and it turned out it was day off and the next day i see him and hes making my lattee and he says 'yesterday was my day off i got to play video games all day' and i was like oh shit well i knew it was your day off oof lmao whoops wow. i used to look at his butt when he would bend over to get milk out the fridge under the counter when he was makin my lattee

honestly u guys this man made the best lattees too like actually for real but then when i did ask him out like i was like 'what if he is just nice to me because hes literally trapped in the coffee box and im like the creep that asks you wht youre doing after work am i that person' but he would literally talk to me for like a long time and like i was like actually getting to know this person lmao. so i asked him out and we went out and that was that you know. thats that. 

listen the moral of the story is ask out the cute coffee shop guy cause the worst thing that can happen is nothing you know. and the best thing that can happen is he turns out to be literally perfect for you and you live together for five years you know.

my sister was living with another dude when she met her now husband lmao. i always felt bad for the guy but like it wasnt workng out.

yeah! my mum got pregnant by accident while she was still studying and decided to have an abortion (she has told me this as a secret but i guess its ok telling it here to strangers). she had never really wanted kids, but when she got pregnant, she just fell hard for the idea of kids, so she decided to get an abortion, finish her studies and then try to get pregnant again. they got married in the meantime, then she got pregnant with me and thought "america is a shit country to have a kid in so imma move back where we get free healthcare", my dad moved with her and they had my brother 2 years later. unfortunately they weren't right for each other and divorced when i was 5, to my approval, bc i was suuuuuch a mommas girl

my dad still lives in denmark today, and his son (my stepbrother, 7 years older than me) has moved here as well
