Do you consider yourself a new or an old soul
So in my experience the kind of folks who endearingly call you an "old soul" tend to be predatory burnout hippies in their 50s-60s trying to make impressionable young women think they're special as a way to mold them, so just like, as a trauma response I totally reject the concept of new and old souls lol.
But like, by definition I reckon I'd be considered an "old soul", but I feel like its such an oversimplified woo-woo way to describe such complex personality traits and the types of life experiences that make you that type of person.
It's weird to me that it's always presented as a complement because I cannot think of anything more isolating than being unable to relate and form meaningful connections with people your own age.
Thank you for your answer! Makes a lot of sense
