I think thrifted gifts are dope,, only thing I dO noT want is a read/ used book. nono.
Why that? I pretty much only own books from those sales they have at libraries where they sell books that haven't been borrowed much in the last few years. Where else can you get a book for 50ct

Well yeah I mean I do buy a lot of used books too but idk I just don't want to be gifted an old book idk,,, ,,, part of the joy of getting a book for me is like going through the pages n the feel of like freSh book u kno. idk lOl

i absolutely would, but it depends on the gift i guess.

thrifted is great for sentimental value stuff and things that are hard to find when someone has a v specific wish, would love to gift my dad a real vintage space invaders like this when i get rich lol

but buying new is usually the best option with anything that isn't like a decorative item or something

I am for.
I gifted some really nice green cups and plates (matching) a few years ago. They were originally from Ikea, still good quality if even a lil bit 'cracked' in the pattern but no safety issues there. Cost literally nothing. Still the prettiest set of cups I've seen.

Some things fit better than other, obviously.

Depends on the condition ofc.
But maybe I wouldn't feel comfortable giving someone a thrifted present

If the person is into collecting certain items like dishes, flatware, furniture etc, yes

Clothing and shoes, definitely not.
