What currency do we haveOn vp we have
popdollars(PD),
credits(CR) and
promotion points(PP).
You can see how much you have at the top of the page, but if you try and click the symbols u will see that u get navigated to a page.
For popdollars, the given site dosen 't show how to earn popdollars, but on the other it shows u the place in which u can gift currency to others. If u click the credits icon, it will lead u directly to currency shop, where u can buy both popdollars and credits for real life money. Lastly if u click on the promotion point icon, u will be lead to a page in which u can get promotion point.
How to get currency and what to use them on - Pop dollars is generally the easiest currency to get in the game and is therefor not counted as being worth much. Pop dollars are mostly used in fashion shop, which is virtual popstars own shop where they release new items from time to time. But u can also be lucky to find cheap sets and/or items in the marketplaza shops, which is shops where people can sell the clothing they don't want anymore. U can get popdollars from games or sell you hard earned items in the marketplaza!
- Credits is the sites main currency, u will find that a lot of people when selling or buying items will ask for credits. Credits have a lot of uses and is definitely the go to. Credits can be used for buying Manager and Diamond member, u can read more about those
here. Credits is as said also the go to currency for most users, so if u wanna spend your credits, u should hit up the clothing forum category or check out the shops! Credits can be bought for real money, but if don't wanna spend your money there is other ways to get a hand on them.
My tips are
1. Join as many contests as u can. Bigger contests with new sets are generally held by teams like ET(event team) or SMT(social media team), but u can also find contests held by users, if u check out the contest forum category. Contests are generally different so there should be something for everyone (u can even lend wardrobes if u find yourself with a little wardrobe)
2. Claim codes released by the teams. Teams will every week release one or more codes, with new items. Codes are not always released in the same place and some are even made into code hunts! But u can read more about that in Limited's Code forum
here.
3. Something for something. Most people on virtual popstar isn't to fond of donation threads and they are generally not a common thing on here. The way i suggest to get your donations in, is by giving something in return. If u have a creative talent, drawing avatars for money is for sure the way to go. But if u don't have the skills, there for sure is the option to do stylings for donations (but please make sure u are both agreed to it, no sending random stylings to people and demand money)
- Promotion points are the most rare currency and also not a currency u will see too much. As the name suggests Promotion points and points given out when u promote the site. If u click the icon at the top of the page, it will lead u too a site full of information on that matter. But to make it short, u are given a link u can share with your friends. When your friends join and eventually reach National star, u will be rewarded with promotion points and continue to do so as they level up. Promotion points can be used for limited sets in the fashion shop, to buy clothing from users in forums or u can trade them for credits.
Anything else important to know
Every currency have a trade worth, the worth is approximately
1PP = 250CR (or 250.000PD)
1CR = 1000PD
So if u wanna sell and item for pd and the item average is in credits, u can always convert them.
Another thing to keep in mind is also that every item have a Popdollars average and a credits average, those can be seen when u hover over the given item. U can also check the average price through time, by clicking on the "amount in game" number. One thing to note though, is that the items credit average usually is the only one that matters. So if u come across an items that's worth 100CR, but only 10PD, u DO NOT look at the pd average, but rather at the credit average.
