I dont mind people using they/them because I use those as defaults when I dont know others pronouns but she/her/hers gives me the homey feeling u know

I'm basically stand where a few others have said. Online i dont really care if im referred to as they/them or even he/him/ in like a general sense of the word..like if they don't actually know me or are just bringing me up casually in a discussion etc. But in reality I definitely prefer she/her as I'm well a  girl

Ppl on reddit always call me he and I'm like OK slightly better than she but not much

Maybe I should stop posting on the mushroom and woodworking sub

i get called he on reddit too and my username literally has 'claire' in it like that reads female but people on reddit always always assume theyre talking to a male and like so do i tbh aside from certain subreddits.
here on vp we have gendered avatars so i feel comfortable defaulting to what i see until im told otherwise but on a site like reddit the default is male. which is a wholeass thing to unpack about male being the default human in our society. or maybe its a hangover from the early internet where there really were many more males than females on discussion forums.

I do the same thing here on vp too or other avatar sites. Unless someone plainy says otherwise it's whatever their avi is gendered..thats who they are to me. It's hard to tell sometimes, and I feel awkward asking about it.

and I'm pretty sure I've probably  gotten it wrong in my head now that I'm reading this thread lol

they/them because im nonbinary but ive grown numb to being called she/her because i cant be open about my gender in my real life, so i also will use she/her for myself depending on the situation

its more of a hassle to correct people

i guess i dont really care all too much...i hate explaining myself more than being misgendered

they/them bc i'm nonbinary and not a woman. i don't relate to she/her pronouns, they don't feel like they're For Me, when someone calls me she/her i have to remind myself they're fuckin. talkin bout me. he/him feels TOO masculine but i'd always rather get gendered masculine than feminine if someone just cannot get their head around they/them

to that end, in french i use il (or iel depending on the social context) pronouns and masculine accords

I use he/him pronouns because I'm a caveman (emphasis on man) and I associate identifying as male/a man/a boy/a guy/ a dude/a member of the superior gender (obviously /j) with male pronouns. Anything else makes me very uncomfortable, especially she/her because of fairly obvious reasons. I don't despise they/them being used to refer to me but it's a bit of a reminder that I don't quite pass which is not great.
The thing about Hebrew though is that it's a bit like French in the sense that plural pronouns are also gendered so there isn't a neutral pronoun, so that really sucks for nb peeps, though from my experience they usually just flip flop with singular pronouns (אתה/הוא [ata/hu] or את/היא [at/hi] meaning you and he/she respectively). It's very interesting to listen to because you can hear them use a, per example, feminine pronoun and then masculine verb or adjective, bit confusing at first but still interesting.

She/her because I identify myself as female lol

fun fact: the pronunciation of binary pronouns sounds the same in chinese. They only make a distinction in the writing, which used to be gender neutral. It got changed in the early 20th century because of western influence

hän / se in finnish
online either he or they, he on vp bcs some people see "they" and assume it's just a "preferred" pronoun or take it as "any pronouns ok" for some reason =) im nonbinary and tho im not that masc in my presentation, i use he/him to kinda balance things out i guess ? i have a complicated relationship with femininity and how i want other people to perceive me

They/them because I'm nonbinary.  I'm definitely not a woman, but I don't really relate to the male experience or whatever. And whenever someone uses they/them towards me it gives me euphoria, so yeah.
