Men being like "I hate all men" can make me come to one of either conclusions. Either they hate themselves which sucks or they think they're above the rule of "all men bad" which is incredibly egotistical.

Yeah totally, but that's not what I'm talking about. I'm talking about the former, which seems to be surprisingly prevalent, especially in internet circles.

I think it's mostly a problem when you raise young boys in such a culture. If a grown ass man thinks that women bad because of radical feminists then he''s either fucking dumb or looking for an excuse to hate women, either way a lost cause. But when it comes to young boys and teenage boys it can be very damaging.

but form my perspective i don't think the majority hate on men, like the actual humans that happens to be men. but how people phrase it might be understood that way. 
like i can say that i hate lesbians™, but i also identify as a lesbian and i don't hate myself
or white people™ and so on.
