i'm not saying that you were surely neglected as a child if something from my examples happened to you. they're just like.... guidelines, i sure think it's better to raise some alarm without further cause than just let it slip

I don't think they really put those responsibly on kids, i learned about it but in later classes.

I think it's something u are taught about as a teacher or pedagogue tho. At least some 
it's def important that we don't expect kids to be the first ones to realize completely and leave everything to them, but since they are indeed closer to other kids than me as an adult, they can observe and see things I can not - so if they are taught how to feel that certain things are not really right they could ask adults (parents, teachers, etc.) to look out for the potentially abused kids
that's great! I never learned about stuff like that
yeah well it's their job, but some teachers simply don't care, even when students get bullied, they won't do anything, so maybe kids being able to see certain signs and tell other adults could really help more

this would be the best possible outcome. i hope more people would tell children to keep their eyes open and report any worries to an adult until our school systems start involving this in their programs, and maybe even after that to be on the safe side. it's never useless to share information

oh yeah, it's really sad reality that some people just fall through the cracks of society, usually for some human error or someone simply not doing their job. and i know that it's probably a global issue that in many places is a standing level of lack in personnel etc, but at least in finland probably every field that should secure safety for (underage) citizens are currently really overflowing with people in need of care or guidance. like i just heard that an acute psychiatric inpatient ward for people aged 11-17(?) in my area has room for 10 patients and is currently housing 16. they're literally turning away patients from every clinic and ward because there's no room and no personnel to deal with every suicidal teenager or children with conditions. so yes there are always some people who end up seriously damaged or even dead because the system can't handle the stress, but it's still always worth trying.
