One thing that I'm trying to be better about is
PLANTING HERBS EVERYWHERE
I always want my dainty little herb garden, but the strong smell of herbs really does help mitigate pest issues.

I have one very large garden bed that's difficult for me to break the habit of planting in rows in. I'll probably use it for something that trails on the ground this year, like squash.
I have basil in my window sill and she thriving to the point one part is wrapping around the faucet
I've always struggled to grow basil indoors.

I also tried it in this flower pot I am CONVINCED is cursed though - everything I plant in it dies.
the trick is just putting the roots in water

see that I do have success with
but at some point they'll need some nutrients...

I plan to try again this year
thing about trying to grow summer plants indoors in winter is that it's not just the temperature that makes them summer plants - it's the length of day, how long the sun is out, which is why you don't really see people growing tomatoes in the winter even with greenhouses.

i'm planning the stone bed rn, plant-wise. I think I will aim for purples and yellows\oranges. I just need to figure how to put it together nicely.

Purples
Lavender (gets medium-high, sorta tuete)
Stemor (low, purple)
storstjerneskjerm (high-ish) - long and stilky, swaying in the wind nicely
trietilas are cute too tho and long

Orange\yellows
Blomkare (sorta veiny and leafy and orange\yellow, will be at the bottom to fall off the stone edge)
stemor (low, orange)
gulldyne (yellow, low) - works like moss
i want a yellow stalky one too ... may just do the smørblomst, it's cute or maybe gulmaure

Greens
Spring onion (thinking about having this in a pot on a stone tho. purple flowers.)
dogghosta  - it grows sorta large so it will draw like first attention to that place

rough draft because i need to have options in case it's not in store
also i 10\10 will overthink, overplan and my dad will probably be like "this is too expensive" and i will be like "u wanted a nice bed. i read up on color theory of this u better sponsor it" and i will likely agree to less but we'll be okay if we get in total enough plants to cover the bed
lmao me not knowing the english names on flowers. if a mod comes and @me now i will scream.
