our sales are HIGHER yet corporate is forcing our SMs to cut hours.
We have like, 2/3 the staff any given shift, yet we're expected to provide the same level of speed and service
I have effectively told them to go fuck themselves I'm not pushing my body past its limits for any corporation, let alone one only paying me 12 bucks - and I'm encouraging my coworkers to do the same.
if we don't get help - drinks go out slower, and either they accept that, or they let us staff more people.
if we keep trying to meet those demands, then we just show them we're willing to work harder for no further compensation. Fuck that
This exactly!
We were good for selling stuff, we knew what do. Still there were usually 2 people working at same time and when one had a break...the other one was alone. You couldn't do anything properly then. We would have only needed one extra pair of hands to get everything done...and what do we get? Busy evenings or long days without breaks.
I worked for about 10€/h which is ridiculously low for everything I did. Left and they asked later on how the experience was there. Oh did i tell them every shitty detail in that survey. Some person must have had fun to read it.
I have way more chill jobs now and pays more.
I want every customer to know that every starbucks has to break health and safety codes to meet the standards of the company

your refreshers very likely have fruit flies in them

our floor drains can't get cleaned regularly, theres must mold everywhere

we just wipe shit down, we don't "clean" much of anything

hand washing every ten minutes? yeah right, try every 2 hours

our buckets of sanitizer water we use to wipe things down are literally brown and cloudy all day because we have no time to change them

I'm at an INCREDIBLY high traffic drive-thru store, like, easily 10k+ in sales a day. It literally never stops. I have never had a spare minute to take care of jack shit.
Our weekly orders just sit in the lobby because they don't give us enough noncoverage hours to put it away
I'm not surprised tbh...well health regulations aren't really met in the place I work either. : D
