i had a lot of fun abandonment fear dreams and ones where one of my parents were trying to kill me or my sister
but there's this one i had when i was 5 that i think about occasionally. two distinct scenes i remember, im pretty sure i had this dream twice too, once normally and second time when i had a 39 degree fever and kept waking up in the middle of it
there's a horrible dreadful machine being built in a warehouse/factory typa place. it's not being built by humans, but itself somehow. i can never see the whole of it, it's so large and oppressive that it's impossible to perceive completely. it's all blackened and rusted metal with pipes and steam vents and moving pistons and engines that are powered by something deep within.
a child is standing in the street of quiet suburbia with perfect green lawns, flat houses and blue sky. they look behind them and the machine is there, it's walking on it's multiple metallic legs, with awful creaking and hissing and it's too dreadful to look at
very rusted silent hill kinda vibe. kinda like howl's moving castle size and shape-wise but very much not at all whimsical. also howl's didnt exist when i had this dream, idk where my brain pulled it from
