i like documentaries (mostly youtube documentaries/video essay type stuff) on politics, different historical stuff, and media that i like - personally i would call it documentaries because it tells factual stories and makes the information interesting through various means but who knows maybe its not really documentaries
i dont watch a lot of "real" documentaries - tv documentaries, movies, etc. but when i do its mostly science, im not a fan of crime stuff because it only fuels anxieties and i always think ive heard the same type of story many times before

Unsolved crimes are always interesting
I have never got into it but true crime seems very popular!
maybe i should give it a go
any recommendations? Do you like murders or other type of crime?
Murders and mysterious disappearances are my favs.

I don't really have many recommendations because I never remember the names I have watched but here is few:
- Unsolved Mysteries
- Don't F**K with Cats: Hunting An Internet Killer
- American Murder: The Family Next Door
- Terrorism Close Calls

and something paranormal that I found interesting:
- Haunted

I also watch many true crime videos on youtube

Mmm, i got Terrorism Close Calls on my list, but im afraid it's too much? how was it in terms of what they showed? They don't show pictures from actual cases right?

I don't know your limit but I don't think they showed much. Mostly because every case was a close call so there isn't much violent scenes. Maybe few clips about areas after a bomb but nothing like bodies, blood etc is shown.

I just can't with really graphic (gore/blood) scenes, i usually skip them in other documentaries, but it's always nice to know in advance! ty

i need recs for nature documentaries. i love finnish avara luonto series, because it's story-telling style and lowkey dramatic but not like overly. but we have watched almost all episodes already so we are in need of new nature docs to watch
so is there anything similiar you can find in english? also big plus if david attenborough is not the narrator, because i have deep unexplained hatred towards him
