Ali's Corner
This past week, I stumbled upon a new TV show - well, an old one, actually, that I took interest in. Its called Kindred: The Embraced and first aired all the way back in 1996. It failed to gain much fame and one of the leads, Mark Frankel, died in a tragic accident shortly after the last episode aired, which contributed to the show's cancellation after just eight episodes.
However, I watched a few episodes throughout the past few days and I really like it! This was before Buffy the Vampire Slayer, before The Vampire Diaries, and before Twilight and it gives a whole new perspective of vampires (both good and evil). It was based on the RPG game Vampire: The Masquerade.
It takes place in San Francisco, California in the 20th century and the ruler, or Prince, of the San Francisco five vampire clans. The vampires are guided by the laws that keep them alive - known as the Masquerade. They pose as humans with ordinary occupations and the show witnesses romance, war, and other elements between the Kindred & the humans.
