๐๏ธ a good day |
Today was one of those "typical" good days that you would blog about back in the days, so I felt like sharing it with you. My alarm rang bright and early at 7am, was I excited to get out of bed? No, I was not... but alas, I had made plans eith a friend to go for a morning run, so out of bed I got. She brought her dogs with her, two adooooorable irish setters, which was great because they really helped us keep a faster pace than usual! Neither of us had any expectations on how the run would go, I wasn't feeling especially motived, but I've noticed that's sometimes when you get the greatest runs. If there are no expectations then everything you manage to do is above those expectations! We ended up going for a total of 5 kilometers, with a short walk break in the middle, but the feeling was great all the way through. We finished at 9.30 or so, which felt great because now we still had the rest of the day ahead of us. Took a shower as soon as I got home (ok that's a lie I did sit and doom scroll on my phone for a little bit), then had plenty of time to so some cleaning and getting ready before heading back to the city. Martie and I had plans, we started with some tasty burgers for lunch, then we took a stroll around the city and went to a local makeup/beauty store. I desperately needed a new mascara which I got, of course I managed to get some extra stuff as well...ย After we'd gotten what we needed it was time to head to the cinema! We've both had some rough days with plenty of anxiety, so we really needed to lighten the mood which resulted in us going to see Deadpool and Wolverine for a third time (well, second time for Martie but close enough). It was just the lighthearted, funny as fuck movie that we needed, and if you haven't seen it yet: DO IT! As evening approached, we got home to a kitchen full of Tupperwear tubs and other stuff to sort through before it was going to a flea market. I also got to go through a bunch of Bamse comic books that I had a subscription to in like 2008-2012. Most of them were properly sorted into binders, some I had to sort through and put where they belonged which made me so nostalgic. I remembered being so excited to get the monthly comic and being so sad when I finished it immediately as I got it. I hope they can bring another kid the same joy they brought me! Needless to say; after a few hours of sorting through stuff, I was excited to get home and get my makeup off. Ended the night with a cup of tea and some youtube vids. I got really tired after being up early this morning and keeping it going all day... naturally, my plan was to go to bed at a reasonable hour, instead I'm here, writing this lowkey unnecessary blog on my phone, where I can't even put pictures from the nice day I've had. Might add those tomorrow on the computer... we'll see. Anyway, I hope you can have a day like this soon. Where you've just done things that made you happy, nostalgic and relaxed. Cleanse your mind from the things that's been weighing you down. Because you deserve to have one of those days. |
