OK, so I make profiles for those who ask nicely for them. I make them for free. And I thought I might make a FAQ about profiles!

How do I add my code to my profile?
Steps here:

1.     Copy the code

2.     Go to your profile and then click "profile settings" in the side bar

3.     Delete everything on your profile

4.     Click on the box circled in red: http://oi55.tinypic.com/j5y3rs.jpg
 

5.     The box should be empty (if not- delete everything): http://oi49.tinypic.com/wh0heg.jpg

6.     Paste the code

7.     Click "insert"

8.     And tada, now add your writing in and click "done"

What if my text boxes are black? How do I change the colour of my writing?
Ahh, well, what I do is I write down what I'm going to say in a WORD document (or whatever writing thingy you have on your computer system), change the colour there and paste it into the text boxes.

How do you code a profile?
OK, well, what I do is after I got my base image is I upload it to tinypic.com to get a URL for it, I go to http://neotacular.com/?go=x-blog
and then I create my text boxes there! (Remember, when add the text boxes, don't drag your mouse! Click on the first corner and then click on the diagonal one. That had me screwed up for ages)

What programs do you use?
Uh, depends on how complex the profile. I use http://pixlr.com/express/…;, GIMP (must download) http://www.sumopaint.com/app/ (this is the free version- you can get it as a google Chrome app and you can also buy a better version if you go to sumopaint.com) and sometimes picmonkey.
Photoshop also works. I believe most photo editors do. 

How big does a profile base image have to be?
As far as I'm concerned- 700 pixels wide to fit perfectly (if oyu make it bigger the image automatically goes to 700 pixels wide and then you're text boxes are all screwed up). I don't believe the height matters.
