tics often get triggered (not sure what word to use in here but i tried) by other tics. Like if you see/hear someone having tics, you'll start having yours as well, so I wouldn't see yours as invalid! Wouldn't be surprised if that's how many people started having their tics.
mine literally started w me watching a tiktok about someone w adhd tic-ing (idk spelling) and I thought I was faking it w/o even knowing

tics are much more common than people think and often appear under stress etc. They usually start in childhood or teens and go away when getting older. And not everyone who has tics has tourettes! My tics are probably caused by autism and I've never been suspected of having tourettes
im not in my teens and sometimes im just drunk, it makes no sense
