I was misdiagnosed with depression, anxiety, and even bipolar before they finally realized I had ADHD.
Not only does it look differently in women and girls (we tend to be less physically hyperactive), but going your whole life undiagnosed you learn to cope and hide it (you may not even realize it!) which makes us slide even further under the radar.
If you can find someone who specializes in adult ADHD that is your best bet.
i don't have hyperacitivity like at all i guess. i was diagnosed with bpd mostly because of my impulsivity, but i never related to any other aspects of bpd at all. and when i was in bpd group therapy with people who actually suffered from it, i was like hell no i'm not like these people
