English Language Day (by

Halloween is nearing soon, so we have a
spooky poem to share with you! It was
submitted by LoveIsALaserquest.
Shouts echoed in the classroom
As students ran from the dead
They screamed in fright
All they could see was red.
''The theme for today is death
And the homework will be set
I'm going to teach you a lesson
One that will scare you half to death''
Death picked on a girl who was screaming
And gave her a severe greeting
and took her along with him
To those who's heart stopped beating.

Hello Popstars!
Today is National English Language Day! It's the day where we celebrate one of the most popular and broadly spoken languages in the world.
What is your favourite English word?
Do you know any tongue twisters?
We are hosting a poetry competition! You do not need to write an essay-length poem, but merely a haiku.
A haiku is a poem with three lines - the first has 5 syllables, the second has 7, and the last line has 5 once again. It's as simple as that!
An example of a haiku is:
An old silent pond -
A frog jumps into the pond
Splash! Silence again.
Please write a haiku for us! Submit your entry (or entries) to the EventTeam popstar for a chance to win 2500pd!
