Fashion is different in many different countries. If you went to a different country, your clothing would seem a lot different to other people who live there, and what the wear would seem a lot different to you. Their fashion sense might come off as kind of strange to someone who is not originally from there.
For instances, let’s compare what we wear in the United States, compared to what is worn in Great Britain. According to collegefashion.net, British people are often described as having a “thrown on” feel to what they wear. They mix prints, patterns and styles. They have individual fashion sense of style. Some British style icons are Carey Mulligan, Alexa Chung, and Kate Moss.
For American fashion, according to collegefashion.net, our style is more casual, comfort-focused and laid back. It is much less trend focused than British style is. Most of the time, we wear sweat pants and yoga pants daily. Some of our style icons are Jennifer Aniston, Whitney Port, Katherine Hepburn, and Katie Holmes.
Now let’s take a look at the differences between London Fashion Week, and New York Fashion Week. According to Susie Bubble, who is fashion blogger who lives in London, the designers at New York Fashion Week are there to sell their lines of clothing, while in London everyone has their own signature style and they don’t conform to the trends. According to The Cobra Snake, a party photographer who lives in New York is visiting London and says that he is finding a ton of fashionable people who are just digesting a style. They don’t always get it right, but it still looks kind of cool.
If you’re American, but would like to get more of a British style, you can check out these sites to buy clothes:
In Indonesia, people wear clothes that are similar to western style. In rural areas and on celebrations, they wear traditional dresses, but not on a daily basis. Each area in Indonesia has its own traditional dress. When men go to work, many wear ties. But most do not, just a regular shirt and pants. For informal occasions, people wear jeans, and women just wear dresses.
