We have now reached the end of September, which means that we are quickly moving towards darker days (sorry if that sounds sinister...). With autumn arriving, many are probably looking forward to the explosion of colour outdoors brought about by falling leaves, as well as cozy days indoors with some tea or pumpkin spice latte. Autumn also usually means a bit more activity on VP, as the start of school and work leaves people with an urgent need of something to procrastinate with... If you are not up to date with what is going on, then there is no need to worry. As usual, the News Team is here to give you an overview of what has happened during the month, together with a small treat if you manage to finish our little game in time. We hope you enjoy the magazine, and we will see you next month for our spooktacular October issue!

MCW
The month started as normally with the Mega Credit set Week, this time the female users could get themselves 6 different sets and the male users could get 4 different sets. The female sets were made by Uhyre (€2 set), Ouch (€6 set), Trainor (€12), Allie (€24) and Solovey (€48 & €96 sets). The male sets were made by Hungry (€2 set), Ellem (€6 set), Ouch (€12 set) and Trainor (€24 set). You can find all the MCW sets in this forum! The next MCW will start on October 4th.

Auction
As always, the first weekend of the month = auction time! In September the female users could get a pd set by Sanctuary and a set by Ouch for credits, while the male users could get a pd set by Teabag and a cr set by Hungry. You can find the FT forum with the auction sets here.




HOF rule change
The ModSquad announced a small rule change on September 11th; a change in the HOF rule. The ModSquad announced that you are allowed to be on multiple HOF lists and high score lists with your main account, but using a side account is still not allowed. What did you think of the rule change? Was it a good or bad change? You can find all of VP’s rule here.

There have been quite a lot of competitions this month.

If you like Sanrio characters, then ET’s Sanrio dressup comp must have been right in your alley. The competition is the beginning of a new mini-series ET is making, and in this first competition, participants had to create an outfit that represented their favourite Sanrio character. However, if people were troubled with Sanrio characters, it was allowed to dressup as an anime character instead. The winners were announced here.

September has been a month of starting new series: beside the Sanrio one, ET has also started one with an American Horror Story theme. The first event in this series was a raffle with some deliciously spooky prizes. There was a lot of interest in the raffle which led to many winners, all of them announced here.

The second event in ET’s American Horror Story competitions was a dressup with the theme being Coven. By dressing in your best witch or warlock outfit, participants had the chance to win some magical sets. Of all the magical sets, the winning ones were announced here.

Another ET competition this month was a MTV awards themed one. Here participants had to pair up in matching outfits ready for the red carpet for the MTV VMA’s.

The winners of ET’s Hopeless Romantic competition from August were announced early this month, in this forum. 

As September is the first month of Autumn, it was very fitting that this month’s SMT raffle was Autumn themed. This month, it was hosted on Twitter, and many people entered in the hope of winning one of the stunning prizes. The winners were raffled out here.

For this month’s WWIB, female avatars had to style a cute top, whereas the males had to style a jacket for a chance to win matching sets by Aske. The winners were announced on Twitter.

ET Horcrux Hunt

The final installment in ET’s Harry Potter series took place this month. For this, ET had arranged a ‘Horcrux Hunt’. 7 Horcruxes had been scattered on VP in ET related places, and each contained either a code or a part of a code. A couple of Et members were ready in the forum to answer questions and give out hints. All the sets given out can be seen in a post on the last page in the forum. 

FT x SMT Collab

This month SMT and FT teamed up to create an event together. The purpose with this collab was to bring people together. The collab started with a friend application forum, so people could connect with each other. A few hours later, a chatting thread was made. Spread out in this thread and on Tumblr were some code parts to give a small bonus to the participants.

SMT Fall Design Event

SMT is hoping to repeat an earlier success by making another design event. They are looking for high quality male and female designs with a fall or winter theme. The sets have to include a hair, skin, top & bottoms/dress, shoes and at least two accessories. All sets must be sent to the SocialMedia account. Usable sets will be rewarded by 200 cr - though they can only be received once - while SMT’s favourite sets will be rewarded by sets prizes. You can send in as many designs as you want, which means you can also get the set prizes for a friend - or a side account. The event is running until November 30th, so there is plenty of time to enter!
