Now you know what's going on about virtual popstar..but what about some things in real life?
How to Cut Down on Computer Time
When school starts, you can't be on the computer all hours of the day, you can't be online at night because of sleep, and you have homework to take up your time! Sadly, you're going to have to spend a little bit less time on the computer - it stinks but we need school!
1. Try doing other things with your time. Once you are used to not being on the computer as much, then you will be fine. There is lots to do other than being on the computer - go to your friend's house, go play some sports, go shopping! Now remember when doing other things that you will need to have some extra time left to go to bed at a reasonable time & finish your homework.
2. Try doing your homework on your way home from school - in your mom's car while she drives you home, on the bus..if you prefer not to, then do it right when you get home because you have a while left to do what you would like!
3. Plan out breaks, meaning abandoning. No, I'm not saying don't come back for 3 years! Try taking a break for 3 days, then 2, then 1, and you could even do more breaks. It will get you used to not being on the computer and you won't need it.
Getting Good Sleep
Who else calculates how many hours they will get of sleep before bed? I sure do! It's important that we get enough sleep or else you might fall asleep in school and end up getting yourself a detention or just not feel well! The amount of sleep depends on the person, some people can go on with 5 hours of sleep while others need 11 hours of sleep! We're all different! Try practicing going to bed a bit earlier. It's hard because you want to eat and play the computer and watch television and do everything! Once you get into your bed, you're so tired..BOOM! Energy bomb! It's crazy, I know! To get yourself to go to sleep, think of all gray. It will bore your mind. Or, do the famous trick - count sheep! You can also count how much breaths you take, or how many seconds it takes for you to fall asleep. If you watch Jenna Marbles, you may have seen her "How Girls Fall Asleep" video - she bored herself to sleep by reading a boring old Charles Dickens poems! You can try doing something like that, too, haha!
Going to a New School? Tips for You!
Going to a new school sounds so scary - you'll have to make new friends, get to know new teachers, learn your way around the school - ugh! Well, I just went into middle school and we had to switch schools - it's not a big switch like what you may be doing but it is still a switch!
1. Be friendly to everyone! Who cares if she's annoying? That doesn't mean you start calling her rude names. Just be friendly and people will get the impression that you are a nice person and would like to be your friend.
2. Ask teachers for help. If you don't know where your class is, they will most likely help you! When I was going to my related arts class, I had to go downstairs and I had NO idea where it was! Luckily, there were teachers around to help me - I just asked and they told me! Simple as that!
3. Memorize your schedule. Between classes you can't always get your schedule out and be like "Let's see here..uhm..I think it's..no! It's gotta be..wait..I think it's math class!" That takes up a lot of time and you do not want to be running through the halls trying to go there.
4. Get good grades. Since this is a new school, you have a clean slate. They don't know the incident you had in 8th grade where you put fish into the toilet. They don't know how many F's you got in Language Arts (well, okay, that they might know). Make a good impression to the teachers (and other students)!
I hope you all have an AWESOME time at school! Have fun and thank you for reading!
