We all get bored sometimes and just sit there wondering what there is to do. If you need something to do on a rainy day or want to practice writing, you should definitely try out writing prompts! This article is going to give you ideas on what you can write about.
1. What was the worst vacation you have went on and why? Not every trip goes very well, you might have hurt yourself or just not had fun at all, but think about it - which vacation was your worst? Why was it that bad? What were the good parts of the vacation?
2. What is something that was popular when you were a child but not popular now? Would you like for it to make a comeback? Most VP players were born in the 1990's or 2000's and there are quite a few difference from growing up in those decades. What is something that was really popular when you were a kid but isn't anymore? Do you want it to make a comeback? Why or why not? Would kids these days enjoy it?
3. What is something you would like to be invented that you just can't make yourself? Life is hard, but life was even harder before the microwave or laundry machine was invented. Not all ideas have been used up and made, and there are many things that would be great as an invention to make things even easier. What is something you would like to see invented in the future? What should be the price? Why should it be invented? How would it make things easier for you?
4. If you could only eat one thing for the rest of your life and drink another specific thing for the rest of your life, what would they be? Spaghetti two days in a row? Come on, Mom, I need a variety. It's hard eating the same meals just two days in a row but when it's for the rest of your life, that's so difficult! You would want to be able to eat a delicious food for the rest of your life. What food would that be? Why? Don't forget drinks - apart from water (of course you can drink that) - which drink would you drink for the rest of your life? Why is that your choice? How long do you think you could go only eating/drinking those before stressing out completely?
5. What is your dream house and why? We all have a dream house, but we probably aren't going to be able to buy something like it. I mean, that's why it's called a dream house. Just imagine it - what rooms would be in your dream house? How would the exterior look? What type of furniture would you put in it? How big would it be? Where would it be? Why is that your dream house?
So these were 5 different writing prompts you can try out as a timekiller, plus they're fun and help you practice your writing skills! If you do try one of these, I'd love to see your work in the comments. Write on!
