Since Halloween is nearing I thought it might be appropriate to share some creepy Kpop music videos. They might not have been made specifically for Halloween, sure, but they certainly fit the mood.
VIXX - Voodoo Doll: Probably one of the best and creepiest MVs. Not only a creepy look, but also a creepy sound. It's bloody, gory, creepy. So much that it was forbidden to show it on TV in South Korea.
Bigflo - Obliviate: Wizard theme with dark imagery and upbeat tune.
SHINee - Married to the Music: Not one of the scariest tunes, but the MV is like a Halloween party gone wrong. Deadly drinks, glowing ghosts, missing body parts, flying heads, eyeballs smacked out of their sockets. What could be more fun?
History - Psycho: Creepy lyrics, chilly MV, nice beat.
BToB - Thriller: Truly thriller worthy. Dark concept, vampires, glowing eyes, cemetery. All topped with fantastic vocals.
Beast - Shadow: Beast unleashes their dark concept. There's dark elements, a dark themed video. Aesthetically pleasing
Boyfriend - Witch: Now this is a true Halloween theme and concept. Blood, vampires, werewolves and vampire slayers. Uh-oh
Boyfriend - Bounce: Yet another Boyfriend MV. It definitely isn't as dark as the first one mentioned here, but it's Alice in Wonderland themed. With such a theme, it would be a perfect Halloween party.
BigBang - Monster: Explosions, monsters, a creepy sound to the song, hidden clues in the song, symbolistic. It's one of the most pleasing MVs to look at.
100% - Beat: It takes on a dark concept, similar to VIXX, the only difference being that the MV has genetic engineering and resurrection as theme. The whole MV is very detail oriented and definitely pleasing from an aesthetical POV
VIXX - Hyde: Probably one of their most known MVs, Hyde features yet another dark concept from VIXX. Fallen angels. Blood thirsty, insane, trying not to lose control fallen angels. With a creepy beat and fantastic vocal, flippy and trippy visuals, this is a must for every Halloween.
Sunmi - Full Moon: A vampire themed music video. And there's nothing better than vampires on Halloween.
Ladies Code - Hate you: Creepy dolls, lovely vocals, dark theme. Perfect for the Halloween spirit
Lee JungHyun - V: A haunted house and dolls. What could possibly go wrong?
Sunny Hill - Pray: A 'monster' is held in captivity. But after watching this, one would start to wonder who the real monster is.
2NE1 - It Hurts: An abandoned place with creepy girls living there. Chills
Narsha - Bbi Ri Bba Bba: A construction worker somehow gets into another world, where he encounters the mysterious and dark Narsha. The beat really compliments the frantic visuals.
Queen B'Z - Bad: The whole MV plays off like a Halloween camp kind of thing, with monsters and seductive vampires.
Well I could probably go on&on [VIXX pun anyone?] about creepy, yet such beautiful kpop MVs. Which ones are your favourite? And if you're not into kpop, but was still curious to click some of them, which did you enjoy?
Also, thank you Jo [Hashiyan] for this absolutely FANTASTIC layout ♥
