akira is highest acheivement in animation of all time. it's a true masterpeice and i can't imagine that anything else will ever compare- especially since we've moved away from traditional animation.

have you seen this?

no i haven't, thanks ! it's baffling how much detail went into it. and i think akira should be watched as an artpiece and not a superhero/antihero movie, because a lot of people say it's 'overrated because there's not really much of a storyline'. i think something like akira can never be made again simply because today it would be too costly and time consuming to be ever be greenlit.
i agree pretty much entirely.

How was the goldfinch  and parasite? I've kinda been waiting to see them but I'm not entirely sure if they're really worth  jt
parasite is definitely worth it! i think it has the whole package: funny, entertaining, and a message under the surface. you're definitely in for a ride! i put goldfinch in my faves mainly because i liked the book and that's why it's special to me. if you've read the book, you might want to check out how they adapted it. but i think the movie fails in dealing the emotional punch and if you haven't read the book it's confusing. but don't let me discourage you, it's entertaining nonetheless!
